Brooklyn credits her aunt as the reason that she got into cheerleading. She was a cheerleader when she was younger and would always take Brooklyn outside in their backyard and tried to teach her tumbling. When Brooklyn went to her older brothers AYS football games she loved watching the cheerleaders on the sidelines. Brooklyn soon fell in love with cheer.

Brooklyn Criswell grew up always loving sports. She got into cheer when she was 6 years old.  Now at 18, Brooklyn wants to continue pursuing cheer at the University of Mississippi. Final tryouts are at the end of April.

Brooklyn thinks her younger self would be very proud of herself

When I was younger I didn’t think I was going to be as talented as I am today.

And she is very proud of herself from how much she has grow over the years.

Some advice Brooklyn would give to younger athletes or cheerleaders would just to always believe in yourself and always work hard because you wont get anywhere if you dont. “It took me a very long time to not over think in tumbling and stunting and I’ve just learned to believe in myself.”

Brooklyn has a very supportive family when it comes to her athletic career. Her younger sister Liberty is following in her footsteps as a cheerleader and her Older brother Hudson was a former Arlington high school student and he played football. Her mom is her biggest fan and her dad is always by Brooklyns side.
