On Monday, March 3, 2025 the Arlington High School Varsity Baseball, Varsity Softball, and JV Softball teams had their Opening Day. This is the start of a hopefully winning season for our tigers.
AHS Varsity Baseball played against Lausanne at Gagliano Field at 7:00pm. AHS Varsity Softball played against Marion High school at Marion at 5:00pm and JV was at 6:30pm. That evening was filled with both nerves and excitement. The softball girls dominated Marion, winning 8-2. However, the baseball boys unfortunately lost to Lausanne 6-1 and they do not play them again this season.
Senior softball player, Breleigh Bunker explains that “I thought Marion would have preformed stronger, but they were not as good as we anticipated”. The baseball team, as a whole, hopes for a better outcome next game.
