Tiger Wrestling completes Spartan Race

Peyton Jones, Staff

The Arlington Tigers Wrestling team recently completed a Spartan Race. In addition to the marathon of 5 miles, the race also includes a series of obstacle courses throughout the entire course. These obstacles include lifting heavy boulders, climbing over walls and small mud hills, and swimming through huge mud puddles. In order to finish you must rely on your teammates and be confident in yourself and your team.
When asked about what about the race was good for being a team building exercise, Senior Austin Antcliffe said “it was a fun experience, that allowed us to get to know some of the new guys better, and the older guys to push each other.” Austin told us that he would absolutely compete in the Spartan Race again. When asked about the team’s placement in the race, Austin said that “we were way above average, we literally beat thousands of people.”
The Arlington Wrestling team is involved in many races throughout the year, in order to keep their team as one of the best in the state of Tennessee, and to create lifelong experiences that they learn from.
